World leaders condemn anti-government mob attacks in Brazil

The US authorities on Sunday provided “unwavering” help for Brazil’s democracy as condemnation poured in from around the globe in opposition to mobs that smashed their approach into the halls of energy in Brasilia.

Argentine President Alberto Fernandez assailed the “coup try” by supporters of far-right former president Jair Bolsonaro who stormed Congress, the Supreme Court docket and the presidential palace.

“Brazilian democracy will prevail over violence and extremism,” he added.
