Aurora police officer Douglas Harroun suspended, arrested for assault

An Aurora police officer is suspended with out pay following his off-duty arrest throughout an investigation of assault of an at-risk grownup.

About 9:30 p.m. Wednesday deputies responded to the 15000 block of East Briarwood Circle, Aurora, to analyze a “bodily altercation,” in response to an Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Workplace information launch.

“Witnesses advised deputies they noticed a male punching a girl a number of instances within the head and the face,” the discharge stated.

Douglas Harroun, 32, was arrested and brought to the Arapahoe County Jail. His bond, for the felony assault cost, is ready at $25,000.
