Four women washed away while crossing submerged bridge in Karnataka

4 girls have been washed away in a stream whereas attempting to cross a submerged bridge in Karnataka’s Koppal district Saturday, mentioned officers. The police confirmed the loss of life of three of the ladies after recovering their our bodies and mentioned that search operations to search out the fourth lady have been happening.

The victims have been recognized as Girija Mali Patil (28), Bhuvaneshwari Patil (32), Rekha Patil (40), Veena Mali Patil (22) of Sankanur village. The incident happened round 6.30 pm in Yelburga taluk once they have been heading again to their homes after work.

In response to the police, the ladies labored as labourers and had gone to a cotton-growing area. Whereas they have been returning, the bridge was overflowing as a consequence of heavy rainfall. The ladies have been in a rush and tried to cross the bridge as traditional regardless of warnings from locals shut by.

Two different girls who went with the 4 managed to carry tree roots close to the banks earlier than they have been rescued by the locals, mentioned the police

In one other incident at Madamageri village close to Yargatti in Belagavi district, a mom and son died after their home collapsed as a consequence of rainfall. The deceased have been recognized as Yallavva Mahadev Bagilada, 49, and Prajwal Mahadev Bagilad. The incident happened round 6.30 pm on Saturday, mentioned the police
