Bengaluru city to face power disruption till Thursday; check areas affected | Bengaluru

Some areas in Bengaluru may see energy cuts on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday this week within the wake of a number of initiatives being taken up by the KTPCL – Karnataka Energy Transmission Company Restricted – which is the only distributor of electrical energy for Karnataka.

Information put out by the town’s electrical energy managing board BESCOM, the Bangalore Electrical energy Provide Firm, indicated that the KTPCL can be engaged on overhauling of transformers, cable laying, relay testing, charging, periodical and quarterly upkeep, substitute of present transformers together with heightening, stringing and extension works, amongst many others.

Most of those outages might be anticipated between 10 am and 4 pm, leading to six-hour energy shutdowns. Nevertheless, some works could go on until 5 pm. Here’s a day-by-day checklist of affected areas:

February 8, Wednesday

Allimaranahalli, Chikkenahalli and surrounding villages, Telecom Format, RPC Format, Hampi Nagar, Agrahara, Dasarahali, Indiranagar.

February 9, Thursday

All 11 kilovolt (KV) feeders from Anagodu, Attigere, Mayakonda, Sasaluhalla MUSS, Sasvihalli, Niluvanji, Muttigi, Bada, Chhigateri, Mattihalli, Nagarakonda, Bennehalli, Hagarigudihalli, Gowripura, Hunasehalli, all city feeders underneath the ‘Niranthara Jyothi Yojana (NJY) in V D Halli, Dugavara, Reddihalli, Siddapura, Nannivala, Ramesh Nagar, Provident Housing Condo Section 1 and Section 2.
