Army helicopter Cheetah crashes in Arunachal, both pilots dead | Latest News India

An Military helicopter flying an operational sortie close to Bomdila, Arunachal Pradesh crashed on Thursday killing each the pilots of the helicopter, Military sources confirmed hours after the crash was reported. The helicopter was reported to have misplaced contact with the air site visitors management at round 9.15am. The crash came about close to Mandala, West of Bomdila. Search events have been launched to hint the 2 pilots who have been lacking. In keeping with experiences, a Lt Col VVB Reddy and Main Jayanth A have been the 2 pilots of the Cheetah which was shifting from Senge to Missamari when it crashed.

“An Military Aviation Cheetah helicopter flying an operational sortie close to Bomdila, Arunachal Pradesh was reported to have misplaced contact with the ATC at round 09:15am at the moment. It’s reported to have crashed close to Mandala, West of Bomdila. Search events have been launched,” Lt Col Mahendra Rawat, PRO Defence Guwahati stated in a press release issued early within the day.

“5 search events of Indian Military, SSB and ITBP have been instantly launched. The wreckage of the plane was discovered close to Village Banglajaap East of Mandala. With remorse we inform that the pilot and the co pilot of the helicopter misplaced thier lives within the accident,” the Military’s Jap Command in Kolkata issued a press release confirming the deaths.

The villagers discovered the crashed chopper round 12.30pm and it was nonetheless burning. Rohit Rajbir Singh, the superintendent of police, Particular Investigation Cell (SIC) stated the realm the place the chopper crashed has no cellular connectivity and the climate can also be extraordinarily foggy with visibility as little as 5 metres.
