The Worldwide Financial Fund’s government board has accredited a $2.9 billion bailout for Sri Lanka, President Ranil Wickremesinghe’s workplace mentioned on Monday.

“The IMF Govt Board accredited Sri Lanka’s program beneath the Prolonged Fund Facility (EFF) that may allow Sri Lanka to entry as much as $7 billion in funding,” the president’s workplace mentioned.
“We’re happy that the IMF Govt Board accredited our program, enabling Sri Lanka to entry as much as $7.0 billion in funding from the IMF and Worldwide monetary establishments,” he mentioned.
