A leak occurred throughout flushing measures on a discharge line on the nuclear energy plant in Brunsbuettel, northern Germany, on Sept. 28, the power ministry of Schleswig-Holstein stated on Wednesday.
The faulty line is a part of the focus remedy system and is positioned within the restricted space of the reactor constructing of the nuclear energy plant, a press release stated, including {that a} small radioactive contamination was detected.
The reactor security authority has tasked consultants with conducting additional supervisory evaluations within the matter.
The Brunsbuettel nuclear energy plant has already been completely shut down since 2007. The decommissioning allow was issued on the finish of 2018 and dismantling of the plant has begun.
