Bengaluru-Varanasi IndiGo flight makes emergency landing in Telangana | Latest News India

An IndiGo airways flight heading to Varanasi from Bengaluru was compelled to make an emergency touchdown at Rajiv Gandhi Worldwide Airport at Shamshabad in Telangana resulting from a technical difficulty on Tuesday morning, the Directorate Common of Civil Aviation stated.

The flight, 6E897, had departed from Bengaluru however was redirected to Shamshabad airport and landed at 6:15am. All 137 passengers on board the flight are confirmed to be protected, the DGCA stated.

A senior official has reported that the DGCA has launched an investigation into the matter, whereas additional data relating to the incident remains to be pending.

The incident comes two after a full emergency touchdown was declared on Saturday after a FedEx flight FX5279 was hit by a fowl quickly after its take off. The flight landed safely and took off once more. The Dubai-bound plane was operated by FedEx. Whereas bird-hit incidents are widespread, a number of passenger flights from Delhi Airport have been diverted in the previous few days owing to dangerous climate.

On Thursday final week, almost 22 flights have been diverted from Delhi Airport resulting from climate circumstances.

On March 11, an AIX Join flight, previously referred to as Air Asia, certain for Lucknow needed to return to Bengaluru’s Kempegowda Worldwide Airport shortly after takeoff resulting from a technical downside. The flight i5-2472 was scheduled to journey from Bengaluru to Lucknow however determined to show again to Bengaluru. The spokesperson confirmed that the difficulty was minor, and the airline had organized different transportation for the affected passengers to minimise any inconvenience brought on.

In an analogous incident earlier in March, a flight operated by Air Asia and certain for Pune needed to make an emergency touchdown at Biju Patnaik Worldwide Airport in Bhubaneswar after a fowl strike shortly after takeoff.
