MSEDCL disconnects power supply to over 2K customers in Pune over unpaid bills

The Maharashtra State Electrical energy Distribution Firm Restricted (MSEDCL) has acknowledged that there are 6.60 lakh home, industrial, and industrial shoppers in Pune circle who’ve overdue electrical energy payments amounting to ₹133.37 crore. The MSEDCL has disconnected energy provide to at the least 2,200 shoppers over unpaid payments.

Rajendra Pawar, MSEDCL chief engineer, Pune circle stated, “The speed of disconnection of energy provide is much less in Pune circle as in comparison with different circles. Pune metropolis has a paying tradition. Pune division which incorporates Pune metropolis, PCMC and rural a part of district has income share 20-25 per cent within the complete income of MSEDCL.To facilitate the cost of present and overdue electrical energy payments, MSEDCL has introduced that each one authorised electrical energy invoice cost centres in Pune circle will stay open throughout workplace hours on Saturday (April 29) and Sunday (April 30). Furthermore, shoppers will pay their payments on-line by means of the web site www.mahadiscom.in or the cell app.”

In response to MSEDCL officers, home shoppers have extra arrears.

In Pune metropolis, 2,88,236 shoppers have arrears of ₹46.99 crore. Out of that, over two lakh are home shoppers with arrears of ₹35.37 crore. Round 21,929 industrial prospects have arrears of ₹10.21 crore and a pair of,949 industrial prospects have unpaid payments of ₹5.53 crore. Until date, MSEDCL has disconnected energy provide of 1,518 shoppers.

In Pimpri-Chinchwad, 1,38,466 shoppers have arrears of ₹35.27 crore. Of those, 1,16,926 home prospects have arrears of ₹19.12 crore and 17,665 industrial customers have ₹7.78 crore in unpaid payments.

There are 3,875 industrial shoppers who’ve arrears of ₹8.37 crore. MSEDCL has lower the facility provide of 457 shoppers.

In rural areas corresponding to Ambegaon, Junnar, Maval, Khed, Mulshi, Velhe, and Haveli taluka, There are a complete of two,33,825 shoppers who’ve arrears of ₹ 51.11 crore. Over two lakh home shoppers have arrears of ₹35.37 crore. There may be ₹10.21 crore and ₹5.53 crore of arrears of 21,105 industrial and a pair of.949 industrial shoppers respectively. MSEDCL has disconnected energy provide of 225 defaulters to this point.

MSEDCL has appealed to all shoppers to pay their overdue payments promptly to keep away from the drastic motion of disconnecting the facility provide.
