‘A tomb for 3-language policy’: H D Kumaraswamy protests Centre’s ‘language discrimination’

The talk on the imposition of Hindi has resurfaced in Karnataka after the Workers Choice Fee (SSC) lately notified that the Mixed Graduate Stage Examination-2022 will probably be performed solely in English and Hindi.

After Kannada language activists raised objections to the identical, JD(S) chief and former Karnataka chief minister H D Kumaraswamy on Friday expressed his reservations over the “language discrimination” being practised by the central authorities.

In a tweet, he identified that SSC was conducting exams solely in two languages to fill 20,000 vacancies. “Chosen candidates could be deputed to any state. There isn’t a possibility (to attend the examination) in Kannada or every other regional language. Do we want extra proof for Hindi imposition and language discrimination?” he mentioned.

Kumaraswamy alleged that BJP was working in the direction of suppressing regional languages. “It seems that they’re constructing a tomb for the three-language coverage,” Kumaraswamy tweeted.

Professional-Kannada activists have demanded that the Centre be certain that the exams are held in Kannada and solely Kannadigas be appointed to vacancies arising out of Karnataka.

Professional-Kannada activist Arun Javgal mentioned that the Kannada Rakshana Vedike will launch a protest towards the round. He had tagged a number of outstanding politicians of the state on Twitter asking them to talk out towards the injustice being meted out to the youth of Karnataka.

Over the previous a number of years, pro-Kannada activists had alleged that youth pursuing training in regional languages have been being not noted of central authorities job alternatives as exams have been performed solely in two languages.
