LONDON, Could 9 (Reuters) – Britain’s authorities won’t change the Financial institution of England’s 2% inflation goal and is working with the central financial institution to make sure fiscal and financial coverage each work to deliver down inflation, monetary providers minister Andrew Griffith stated on Tuesday.
“We’ll proceed to work carefully with them (the BoE) to make sure that financial and monetary coverage are effectively coordinated. And the chancellor reconfirmed the inflation goal of two% on the Autumn Assertion and confirmed this authorities won’t change the goal,” Griffith instructed parliament.
