Karnataka govt to open ‘Namma Clinics’ in the state | Bengaluru

The Karnataka authorities will open 438 ‘Namma Clinics’ throughout the state of which 243 shall be in Bengaluru, Karnataka Well being Minister Ok Sudhakar stated on Thursday. The minister was chatting with reporters after inspecting a mannequin ‘Namma Clinic’ unit in Mahalakshmi Structure within the metropolis.

“We are going to arrange 438 Namma Clinics throughout Karnataka. Of them 243 shall be in Bengaluru. Every clinic will include a physician, a nurse, a lab technician and a gaggle D worker,” he stated. Sudhakar stated the appointment of 160 medical doctors have been accomplished. The Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) has issued a notification to nominate medical doctors for ‘Namma Clinics’, which is predicted to be accomplished by the top of this week, he stated. The appointments for the remaining employees have been accomplished for the 243 ‘Namma Clinics’ within the BBMP limits, he added. “The programme has been targeted to handle the healthcare wants of city poor, particularly individuals falling beneath the poverty line and people residing in huts. Every ward of the town will include a minimum of one Namma Clinic and can function like PHCs. Along with offering healthcare, the clinics will concentrate on creating consciousness about authorities healthcare schemes,” Sudhakar defined.

As per the rules, PHCs in accordance with the inhabitants exist in rural areas. Nevertheless, there aren’t sufficient authorities healthcare centres in city areas to cater to the inhabitants. Therefore, this new scheme has been launched, the minister identified. Sudhakar stated the clinics are being established in authorities and rented buildings, which have an space of 1,000-1,200 Sq.ft. “The federal government will incur a price of ₹138 crore to keep up the employees every year,” he added.

In line with him, the clinics can even create consciousness about Yoga, Pranayama, Dhyana and meals habits. Apparently taking a cue from Delhi authorities’s Mohalla Clinic, the well being division goals to arrange ‘Namma Clinic’ in every ward of Bengaluru, a well being division official stated.
