Ravi Sinha, a senior IPS officer of the Chhattisgarh cadre, has been appointed new chief of India’s exterior intelligence Analysis and Evaluation Wing or R&AW chief on Monday. Sinha will succeed incumbent Samant Goel on completion of his tenure on June 30 and have a two-year tenure, a personnel ministry order mentioned.
Sinha, a 1988 batch Indian Police Service (IPS) officer, is presently serving as particular secretary, Cupboard Secretariat. The Appointments Committee of the Cupboard has authorised Sinha’s appointment as secretary, R&AW for a tenure of two years, the order mentioned.
“The Appointments Committee of Cupboard (ACC) has authorised the appointment of Rajiv Sinha, IPS, particular secretary, Cupboard Secretariat, as Secretary, Analysis and Evaluation Wing vice Samant Goel on completion of his tenure on June 30, 2023, for a tenure of two years from the date of assumption of the cost of the publish, or till additional orders, whichever is earlier,” the order said.
