Tech glitch hampers ambulance services across Karnataka

The technical glitch has compelled the decision centre to scale back the variety of calls obtained by it to nearly 65 per cent. Whereas the decision centre can attend round 7,000-8,000 calls per day, it may attend solely about 2,000-2,500 calls for the reason that difficulty cropped up.

Sudhakar mentioned that instructions have been issued to ambulance operators to reply to calls obtained even on their private numbers and ferry the sufferers.

The federal government has additionally elevated the variety of employees on the computerized name centre. The extra employees are a part of the workforce that’s producing handbook IDs for dispatch.
