Former Karnataka CM S M Krishna hospitalised due to respiratory infection

Former Karnataka chief minister S M Krishna was admitted to a non-public hospital in Bengaluru Sunday as a consequence of an acute respiratory an infection.

In response to a press release by the Manipal Hospital, Krishna, 90, was “on minimal respiratory help and in a cheerful mind set”.

Chief minister Basavaraj Bommai, who met Krishna on the hospital, stated that he was shifted from Vydehi Hospital, the place he was being handled for a fever, to Manipal Hospital at round 2 am owing to respiratory issues.

“His respiratory has returned to regular. Now he’s completely secure and recovering,” Bommai stated. He can be monitored on the hospital for the following two to 3 days earlier than being discharged, Bommai added.

Krishna was the sixteenth chief minister of Karnataka, between 1999 and 2004, and later went on to function the Union exterior affairs minister in UPA-II from 2009 to 2012. He was additionally the governor of Maharashtra from 2004 to 2008.

Krishna moved from the Congress to the BJP in 2017 and has been with the occasion since then.

Former chief minister and member of the BJP parliamentary board committee B S Yediyurappa met Krishna on the hospital and enquired about his well being. Karnataka Opposition chief and one other former chief minister Siddaramaiah tweeted wishing Krishna a speedy restoration.
