A sculpture made with plastic bottles at Bengaluru train station draws PM praise | Bengaluru

Plastic waste administration has been a significant problem in all metropolitan cities in India, particularly within the public locations like bus stands, railways stations and airports. To convey consciousness among the many public, the South Western Railways in Bengaluru carried out a novel consciousness drive on plastic waste disposal at railway stations. It even obtained accolades from Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Twitter.

The employees of Krantivira Sangolli Rayanna(KSR) railway station collected the plastic waste that was littered across the railway station and made a sculpture out of the plastic waste on Monday. A placard on the sculpture learn, “This sculpture is manufactured from 1000’s of plastic water bottles, which have been collected within the final 12 hours. All these plastic bottles have been thrown in and across the railway station.”

Because the competition season has commenced and footfall has elevated, the employees of the KSR railway station discovered many plastic bottles across the railway station.

Prime Minister Modi too was impressed by the efforts of the railway officers and known as it a commendable thought. He wrote, “Such efforts should not solely revolutionary and commendable however most significantly remind us of our fundamental civic obligation of holding our environment and public locations clear (sic)”
