The movement for Sanjay Singh’s suspension was moved by Union Minister and Chief of the Home Piyush Goyal. Chairman Jagadeep Dhankhar sought the approval of the Home for the movement and stated that Sanjay Singh was being suspended “for having repeatedly violated directive of the Chair”.
The AAP MP was suspended for the remaining length of the Monsoon session in the course of the Opposition’s protest within the Home over the Manipur challenge.
Dhankhar had final week cautioned Sanjay Singh saying that he can be pressured to call the AAP member after he repeatedly protested towards the proposed invoice to switch Centre’s ordinance for management over companies in Delhi.
