A Bengaluru-bound Air India Specific flight was cancelled on Thursday after it suffered a hen hit on the airport right here, an airline official mentioned.
An eagle hit the nostril of the plane whereas taxiing on the runway for takeoff, he mentioned.
In consequence, the airline needed to cancel the flight and make alternate preparations for the 90 passengers on board.
“The hen strike occurred earlier than takeoff. It occurred when the plane was taxiing on the runway,” the official instructed PTI.
Later, in an announcement, Air India Specific mentioned, “The plane assigned to function the Vijayawada–Bengaluru flight skilled a suspected hen strike at Vijayawada airport, resulting in the cancellation of the service.
