Aurora man arrested on suspicion of murder in Greenwood Village shooting

A 19-year-old Aurora man was arrested on suspicion of second-degree homicide in reference to the April capturing dying of an 18-year-old man close to Cherry Creek Excessive Faculty.

Jorge Trujillo was arrested Wednesday for allegedly killing Jose Angel Hernandez, who can also be an Aurora resident,  in response to the Greenwood Village Police Division.

Officers responded to East Union Avenue close to South Yosemite Road at round 5 a.m. on April 27 after somebody known as 911 to report an SUV was stopped within the street with all of the doorways open and lights on and appeared to have bullet holes in it, investigators wrote in an arrest affidavit.

Trujillo then began capturing Hernandez “with out warning” and ran from the scene. He was later recorded on a close-by surveillance video speaking about needing to puke and that he “simply began capturing,” in response to the affidavit.

Trujillo is in custody on the Arapahoe County Detention Heart on a $1 million bail and set to look in court docket Tuesday.
