Hours after he was summoned to a police station for counselling in a marital dispute, a 35-year-old autorickshaw driver in Hyderabad died on Tuesday night time, main his household to allege that he was subjected to police brutality. The police denied the allegations and stated that he had died of a cardiac arrest.
The police recognized the deceased as Mohammed Irfan. In accordance with the police, he was summoned to the Rajendranagar police station for counselling on Tuesday after his spouse Nishad Begum alleged that he was in an extramarital relationship with one other lady. Begum informed the police that they had been married for 10 years, had three kids, and stayed close to Gandipet.
“The deceased was allegedly in a bootleg relationship with a married lady, resulting in repeated disputes. Regardless of the elders’ mediation, the deceased expressed a need to marry the stated lady, worsening the state of affairs,” Ch Srinivas, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Rajendranagar zone), stated.
Begum and her household visited the girl’s home to counsel her on Tuesday afternoon, DCP Srinivas added. “Following a quarrel, each Irfan and the girl have been delivered to the police station round 9 pm by their members of the family for counselling. The police counselled each events and suggested them in opposition to sustaining additional contact,” he stated, after which Irfan allegedly collapsed all of the sudden and fell unconscious whereas returning house.
