The nation welcomed the return of Axiom-4 Mission Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla to Earth, after the profitable completion of his 18-day mission aboard the Worldwide House Station (ISS).

After spending 18 days on the Worldwide House Station (ISS), throughout which he went across the Earth 288 instances, Indian astronaut Shubhanshu Shukla and his colleagues on the Axiom-4 mission started their 22-hour return journey to Earth on Monday afternoon.

After spending 433 hours on the ISS, the astronauts moved into their docked spacecraft round 2 pm India time. The preparations for the return journey took over two hours.
