A 23-year-old IIT graduate who was working at multinational funding firm Goldman Sachs is making headlines after he was laid off from its Bengaluru workplace on Wednesday. The US agency is reducing off 6.5 % of its workforce, amongst which Shubham Sahu, a graduate of chemical engineering from IIT Kharagpur, is likely one of the affected.

Sahu took to LinkedIn on Wednesday to share that he’s now open to new job alternatives, writing that this can be a “completely different approach to begin a yr”. Sahu obtained the information that he was laid off simply after his twenty third birthday and stated that it had been his first job. He had labored at Goldman Sachs for round six months, he added.
