Bengaluru Metro reports over 27,000 offences, including 11,922 of playing loud music on moving trains | Bangalore News

Bengaluru Metro Rail Company (BMRCL) mentioned Thursday it recorded greater than 27,000 offences by passengers between September 2024 and March this 12 months, and urged travellers to observe rules and be accountable Metro customers.

“Though no penalties have been imposed for these actions, the Safety Squad issued stern warnings aimed to discourage such behaviour and reinforce the significance of adhering to Namma Metro pointers for a harmonious commute,” BMRCL mentioned within the assertion.

Nonetheless, a BMRCL spokesperson mentioned a positive of Rs 8.15 lakh was imposed on passengers from August 2012 to March 2025 for failing to adjust to Namma Metro etiquette.
