Bengaluru police arrest 2 Bigg Boss contestants for brandishing weapons | Bangalore News

The Bengaluru police stated Monday they’ve arrested two former contestants of Bigg Boss, the Kannada actuality present, allegedly for displaying weapons in a clip on social media.

Rajath Kishan and Vinay Gowda, each residents of Bengaluru, had been arrested by the Basaveshwara Nagar police after initially being served notices to look earlier than them. “Initially, they had been detained following the discover, and arrest procedures had been initiated on Monday night,” a police officer confirmed.

The police filed a suo motu FIR on March 20 based mostly on a grievance from the police station’s social media monitoring cell. In line with the grievance, a reel video was uploaded on Instagram beneath the deal with “bujjjjii,” displaying Kishan and Gowda wielding a machete, posing for the digital camera, and strolling in public.

The video, roughly 18 seconds lengthy, was deemed to incite concern and disrupt public peace.

Following the grievance, Basaveshwara Nagar police charged the 2 males beneath Part 270 (public nuisance) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), and related sections of the Arms Act.
