Bengaluru police inspector set to receive CM’s medal flees after Lokayukta raid | Bangalore News

A Benglauru police inspector who was to obtain the Chief Minister’s medal for exemplary service went absconding after the Lokayukta police raided his properties Tuesday evening over a property difficulty.

In response to the Bengaluru police, the accused officer is A V Kumar, a police inspector posted on the Annapoorneshwari Nagar Police Station. Kumar was scheduled to obtain the chief minister’s gold medal Wednesday.

Talking in regards to the case, a police officer stated, “An individual named Somashekar Aradhya had filed a grievance in Annapoorneshwari Nagar in 2024 towards civil contractor Channegowda and his spouse Anusha over a property dispute. The couple had taken Rs 60 lakh from Aradhya for a property.”

Nonetheless, when Aradhya demanded his a reimbursement, the couple refused to return the quantity. As Anusha labored with the federal government, Kumar suggested them to barter and settle the matter. Later, Kumar requested the couple to switch the property to Aradhya, however the couple refused. Channegowda and Anusha had approached Lokayukta after Kumar allegedly threatened them by sending employees to their home.

On Tuesday evening, Kumar held a gathering over the property difficulty at a lodge in Nagarbhavi the place his family members appeared on his behalf. On the similar time, Annapoorneshwari Nagar head constable Umesh and police constable Ananth additionally arrived on the spot.

A Lokayukta police officer stated that whereas they carried out the raid, and took custody of 5 individuals, Kumar absconded after getting details about the search.

Karnataka House Minister G Parameshwara stated it had come to his discover that Kumar was into actual property. “I’ve collected details about the case. It has come to the discover that Kumar was conducting actual property conferences on the police station. The case might be investigated accordingly,” he added.
