The arrested individuals have been recognized as Dr Nagaraj, psychiatrist, Central Jail, Parappana Agrahara, Bengaluru, and Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Chan Pasha and Anees Fathima, mom of an absconding accused.

The case
