Bengaluru, June 01: The Bengaluru police have booked a migrant girl from Bihar for allegedly assaulting an autorickshaw driver on Saturday.
The accused, recognized as Pankhuri Mishra, 28, reportedly hit the sufferer with slippers. The incident passed off outdoors the Centro Mall in Bellandur round 3 pm on Saturday. In a purported video of the assault, Mishra could be seen hitting the autorickshaw driver with slippers whilst he continued to report her.
After the video went viral, the autorickshaw driver, Lokesh, 33, filed a police grievance. In line with him, Mishra and her husband, who have been using a two-wheeler, first brushed in opposition to his automobile. Thereafter, when he pointed that out, Mishra began hitting him.
On Sunday, Mishra appeared earlier than the Bellandur police for questioning. She claimed that Lokesh didn’t behave correctly, so she hit him. A police officer mentioned that her assertion had been recorded, and they’d ask her to look earlier than them once more.
Demanding motion in opposition to Mishra, a number of pro-Kannada activists demonstrated outdoors the Bellandur police station on Sunday.
