Forward of the State Wildlife Board’s assembly on November 3, residents of Bengaluru and concrete conservationists Friday began a signature marketing campaign asking the federal government to declare Hesaraghatta grasslands, spanning throughout 5,000 acre, a conservation reserve.
Tons of of residents have already signed the letter on the primary day.
President of the NGO Venture Vruksha Basis, Vijay Nishanth, who began the signature marketing campaign, mentioned, “Hesaraghatta, the final remaining grassland of Bengaluru, is the water catchment space of the Arkavathy river, housing about 250 species of birds, bugs and mammals.”
He added that there’s an try to incite the locals towards the demand of declaring the grasslands as a conservation reserve.
