Bengaluru: Three men booked for assaulting pet dog and its owner

A battle between two canines in Bengaluru has led to an assault on certainly one of them and its proprietor in addition to a police case.

Gaddigappa, from RK Puram, stated he had let his canine, Acchu, play outdoors his dwelling on Monday morning, when it fought with a canine belonging to 1 Nagaraj from the neighbourhood.

Although Gaddigappa took Acchu again, his neighbours Ranjith, Rahul and Rajath went to the previous’s home and allegedly attacked the canine round 10pm. Whereas making an attempt to rescue his canine, Gaddigappa additionally bought overwhelmed up, in response to his grievance.

Gaddigappa was shifted to the KR Puram common hospital for therapy and his canine was despatched to a veterinary hospital in Domlur.

The KR Puram police have booked Ranjith, Rahul and Rajath below Indian Penal Code sections associated to voluntarily inflicting damage, killing or maiming animals, extortion, legal intimidation and so on and below part 11 of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act.

A video of assault on the canine has gone viral on social media.

Gadigappa stated Acchu was initially a stray canine.
