Bengaluru police arrested two folks on Saturday for allegedly faking an accident and extorting cash from an proprietor of a four-wheeler. The police additionally alerted commuters to pay attention to individuals who faux to be victims of accidents and demand cash.

In a viral CCTV footage, two folks on a two-wheeler have been seen bashing a automobile(with hand)that was passing subsequent to them on the highway. Later, they allegedly demanded cash from the proprietor of the automobile and threatened to file a police grievance towards him for dashing the two-wheeler. In accordance with the time stamp on the viral CCTV footage, the incident occurred on October 26 at Bengaluru’s Siddapura space. They extorted Rs. 15,000 from the sufferer, mentioned the police.

P Krishna Kanth, deputy commissioner of police (south Bengaluru) wrote, “Arrested 2 individuals @siddapuraps who pretended to be victims of a highway accident & extorted 15000 from the sufferer. The accused have been on the bike and so they hit the sufferer’s automobile & then threatened him. Seized Rs15000&1Bike used for offence. Pls inform Police for those who discover any such incident.”

In the same incident in August, Bengaluru police arrested two folks for allegedly extorting cash by faking to be accident victims in Basavanagudi police limits. The cops additionally seized 4 two-wheelers and the money of ₹40,000 from their possession.
