Bengaluru woman dies by suicide; husband accused of harassment, held | Bengaluru

In a tragic incident, a 34-year-old lady died by suicide in Bengaluru on Tuesday. She has left behind a suicide observe wherein she alleged psychological and bodily torture by her husband. The accused – Nihar Routray – has been arrested by police in a case of abetment to suicide.

Upasana Rawat labored at a senior put up in a multinational agency. Rawat, after receiving divorce papers from her husband, had filed a response. She too wished to separate. “She completely wished to break up, however he was threatening her that he’ll spoil her life after that (by leaking her personal movies),” a member of the family stated. The incident occurred within the metropolis’s Varthur space, from the place Routray was nabbed by police on Wednesday, as per studies.

Rawat’s household has additionally filed a grievance with the Varthur police station on this regard.
