Savithri Bai, a sub-Inspector posted with the Govindapura station of Bengaluru metropolis, reportedly demanded a bribe of Rs 1.25 lakh to file a B report in a case the place the complainant, Mohammed Younus, was accused of assault or prison pressure towards a lady with the intent of outraging her modesty.

After Younus lodged a criticism, the Lokayukta police set a lure and caught Bai whereas she was accepting the bribe.
