WhatsApp and Bangalore Metro Rail Company Restricted (BMRCL) on Monday introduced a partnership to launch Namma Metro’s WhatsApp chatbot-based QR ticketing service.

The chatbot is built-in with Unified Funds Interface (UPI) powered funds on WhatsApp and can permit ‘Namma Metro’ commuters to buy tickets and recharge their journey cross proper inside WhatsApp.

BMRCL claimed it’s the first transit service globally to allow end-to-end QR ticketing on WhatsApp. The company stated its WhatsApp chatbot is accessible in English and Kannada for all commuters of ‘Namma Metro’.
