Bharat Jodo yatra: Rahul Gandhi delivers speech in Karnataka amid heavy rain

Braving heavy rain, Congress chief Rahul Gandhi on Sunday delivered a speech in Karnataka’s Mysuru braving and launched an assault on the state authorities.

He was addressing the general public after ending the Bharat Jodo Yatra’s foot march for the day.

The video is now going viral on social media platforms.

“Warmth, storm or chilly can’t cease this yatra. This river-like yatra will stick with it from Kanyakumari to Kashmir; on this river, you’ll not see issues like hate or violence. There’ll solely be love and brotherhood as that is India’s historical past and DNA,” Gandhi stated.

A number of Congress leaders together with Jairam Ramesh and Randeep Surjewala praised Gandhi for his speech.

“On the night of Gandhi Jayanti, undeterred by a downpour in Mysuru, @RahulGandhi electrified a sea of individuals. It was an unequivocal declaration. No power can cease the #BharatJodoYatra from uniting India towards hate, from talking up towards unemployment and worth rise,” Ramesh tweeted.

The previous Congress president shared a video clip from the speech on Twitter and stated, “Nobody can cease us from uniting India. Nobody can cease us from elevating the voice of India. Nobody can cease the Bharat Jodo Yatra from going from Kanyakumari to Kashmir.”

The yatra, which began on September 7 from Kanyakumari, entered the BJP-ruled state for the primary time after overlaying Tamil Nadu and Kerala.

It would cowl a 511km stretch in Karnataka over 21 days.

Congress’ interim president Sonia Gandhi can be anticipated to hitch the foot march on October 6.

The march will cowl 12 states in 5 months searching for to flag financial disparities, social polarisation and political centralisation.
