Italian restaurant group Massive Mamma is increasing its London presence with its sixth venue, Barbarella, within the company district of Canary Wharf.

Scheduled to open in June 2025, the brand new restaurant shall be located within the YY Constructing and have a Seventies Roman cinema-inspired theme.

Barbarella’s inside design will showcase classic Ferragamo silks and a mirrored glass bar, with a reflective 70s chromed lounge upstairs.

On the coronary heart of the restaurant shall be an open kitchen, led by Rome-born Marco Rastelli who will introduce a daily-changing menu together with metre-long spaghettone, pizzas and pasta.

The menu may also provide Cornish lemon sole, grilled steaks starting from fillet to a 1.2kg T-bone, and a devoted gelato part.

The opening of Barbarella follows the profitable launch of Massive Mamma’s first regional restaurant, La Bellezza, in Birmingham in November 2024.

The group continues to handle its 5 different London eating places, which embrace Gloria, Circolo Popolare and Carlotta, all of which had been described as absolutely booked one month prematurely all through 2023.

Established in 2013, Massive Mamma goals to emulate the authenticity and heat of conventional Italian trattorias internationally.

The group prides itself on sourcing produce immediately from small Italian producers, providing 100% home made dishes at inexpensive costs.

In September 2023, personal funding firm McWin Capital Companions signed a partnership deal to amass a majority stake in Massive Mamma.

The acquisition was a part of McWin Capital’s technique to strengthen its place within the European eating business.

“Massive Mamma to launch sixth London restaurant in Canary Wharf” was initially created and printed by Verdict Meals Service, a GlobalData owned model.
