Condemning the assaults on minorities and the current vandalism of Nobel Laureate Rabindranath Tagore’s ancestral home in Bangladesh, the BJP held a protest march in Agartala on Monday.
The protest noticed the participation of state BJP president and Rajya Sabha MP Rajib Bhattacharjee, and different get together leaders like Subal Bhowmik, Bhagaban Das, and Mimi Majumdar.
The rally began from the Swami Vivekananda Maidan and concluded close to the Assistant Excessive Fee of Bangladesh in Agartala.
“We condemn the assault on Rabindranath Tagore’s ancestral dwelling and violence towards minority communities in Bangladesh. Until now, the interim authorities led by Muhammad Yunus has not arrested the culprits,” Bhattacharjee instructed reporters.
Related protest marches had been organised in different elements of the state, together with Kailasahar in Unakoti district, Raghna worldwide border in North Tripura district, Sonamura in Sepahijala district, and Belonia in South Tripura district, on Saturday.
