Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai instructed officers to handle all shortfalls within the allotment of commercial websites for Dalit entrepreneurs as per quota introduced in 2009.
This was introduced after a delegation of the Karnataka Dalit Entrepreneurs Affiliation met Basavaraj Bommai on Saturday.
He instructed the extra chief secretary (industries division), Secretary of Social Welfare Division and Chief Government Officer of KIADB to submit a Land Audit report and the shortfall within the allotment of land have to be addressed throughout the stipulated time.
The affiliation members mentioned 60 p.c of Industrial websites for SC/ST entrepreneurs are allotted in district-level single window committees and 40 p.c in state-level committees. For the reason that mission price of many entrepreneurs can be beneath ₹15 crore, the district degree allotment share could be hiked.
Responding to this, the CM instructed to take steps for allotment of 70 per cent within the district degree and 30 p.c on the state degree. The affiliation members requested the CM to instruct KSFC to contemplate the precise price of commercial land as collateral safety on the time of availing mortgage.
The CM mentioned he would take the choice after discussing it with the Finance Division.
Bommai promised to contemplate their demand through the subsequent funds on extending wage incentives if a minimal of 10 SC/ST staff are working in industries run by Dalit entrepreneurs.
