Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva visited the ransacked presidential palace, Congress and Supreme Courtroom on Sunday after supporters of far-right ex-president Jair Bolsonaro invaded the buildings, TV community Globo reported.
The veteran leftist was visiting the flood-hit metropolis of Araraquara within the southeastern state of Sao Paulo when the assaults ocurred, however flew again to Brasilia to supervise the response to what he known as the “fascist” assault by protesters calling for a navy intervention to oust his authorities.
