BRS, BSP team up in Telangana for Lok Sabha elections | Latest News India

The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), the primary opposition get together in Telangana, on Tuesday introduced forging an alliance with the Bahujan Samaj Social gathering (BSP) to contest the upcoming Lok Sabha elections within the state.

Talking to reporters, KCR stated, Kumar had approached him with the proposal after getting approval from BSP chief Mayawati and each the events had agreed in precept to enter into an alliance.

“Each the BRS and BSP share widespread ideologies and objectives. BRS carried out a number of welfare schemes for the weaker sections, together with Dalit Bandhu, residential welfare faculties and others in Telangana. We’ll finalise the problems pertaining to seat sharing after I converse to Mayawati, my outdated acquaintance,” he stated.

Kumar stated he had taken the choice to ally with the BRS solely to counter the Bharatiya Janata Social gathering (BJP) which was making an attempt to destroy the secular cloth of the nation and even conspiring to overrule the Constitutional provisions for the weaker sections.

He felt that even the Congress was proving to be anti-Dalit in Telangana.

“With the intention to safeguard Telangana from these two political events, we have now determined to work with the BRS within the coming elections. KCR has been a powerful secular voice and our alliance is aimed to guard the Ganga Jamuni Tehzeeb of Telangana,” he stated.

BRS senior leaders T Harish Rao, Vemula Prashanth Reddy, J Santosh Kumar, Balka Suman, MLC Deshapathi Srinivas and others had been current on the assembly.

A BRS chief conversant in the event stated Kumar is more likely to contest from Nagarkurnool parliamentary constituency on behalf of the alliance. Sitting BRS parliamentarian from Nagarkurnool constituency Pothuganti Ramulu resigned from the get together and joined fingers with the BJP, which declared his son Pothuganti Bharat because the MP candidate a few days in the past.
