BSF jawan detained by Pak Rangers after accidentally crossing border; talks for release on | India News

A Border Safety Pressure (BSF) jawan has been detained by Pakistan Rangers after he by accident crossed the Punjab border and talks are on between the 2 forces to safe his launch, officers mentioned on Thursday.

A constable of the 182nd battalion was apprehended by the Pakistan Rangers throughout the Ferozepur border on Wednesday, they mentioned.

The jawan was in uniform and carried his service rifle. He was accompanying farmers when he moved forward to relaxation in shade and was apprehended by the Rangers.

A flag assembly is on between the 2 forces to safe the discharge of the BSF jawan, the officers mentioned.

They mentioned such incidents weren’t unusual and have occurred previously between the 2 sides.

The incident comes in opposition to within the backdrop of the Pahalgam terror assault with India taking a slew of measures in opposition to Pakistan for sponsoring terrorism.
