The Election Fee Sunday introduced bypolls to 5 Meeting constituencies — two in Gujarat and one every in Kerala, Punjab and West Bengal — on June 19.

The Kadi and Visavadar seats in Gujarat had fallen vacant as a result of loss of life and resignation of the respective MLAs Karsanbhai Punjabhai Solanki and Bhayani Bhupendrabhai Gandubhai. Nilambur in Kerala fell vacant as a result of resignation of MLA P.V. Anvar; Ludhiana West in Punjab grew to become vacant upon the loss of life of MLA Gurpreet Bassi Gogi; and Kaliganj in West Bengal fell vacant on the loss of life of MLA Nasiruddin Ahamed.

Counting of votes in all of those seats will probably be held on June 23.
