Cabinet nod to Vibrant Villages Programme Ph-2 | India News

The Union Cupboard has authorised the second part of Vibrant Villages Programme (VVP), which envisages complete improvement of choose villages positioned alongside worldwide borders.

“The Cupboard authorised the Vibrant Villages Programme-II (VVP-II) as a central sector scheme with 100% funding by the Centre, furthering its dedication for the imaginative and prescient of Viksit Bharat@2047 for ‘Protected, Secured & Vibrant land borders’. The programme would assist in the great improvement of the villages positioned within the blocks abutting worldwide land borders (ILBs), apart from the northern border already coated beneath VVP-I,” an official assertion stated.

In a put up on X, Union Residence Minister Amit Shah stated, “The Vibrant Villages Programme has been a game-changing medium to remodel our border villages into the nerve facilities of development and improvement. Advancing the imaginative and prescient additional, the Modi govt has in the present day authorised the Vibrant Villages Programme-2 with a complete outlay of Rs 6,839 crore…”

“The target of the programme is to create higher residing circumstances and enough livelihood alternatives to make sure affluent and secure borders, management trans-border crime and assimilate the border inhabitants with the nation and inculcate them ‘as eyes and ears of the border guarding forces’, essential for inner safety,” it stated.

“With a complete outlay of Rs 6,839 crore, the programme shall be carried out in choose strategic villages in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, Gujarat, Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Punjab, Rajasthan, Sikkim, Tripura, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal until 2028-29,” the assertion stated.
