The Narendra Modi authorities on Tuesday accepted minimal help costs of six Rabi crops for advertising and marketing season 2023-24.

Union minister Anurag Thakur introduced that the MSP of wheat was elevated by ₹110, barley by ₹100, gram by ₹105, lentil or masur by ₹500, Rapeseed & Mustard by ₹400 rupees and Safflower by ₹209 through the assembly of the Cupboard Committee on Financial Affairs chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The minumum help value is the speed at which the federal government buys grains from the farmers. At current, the federal government fixes MSPs for 23 Kharif and Rabi crops. Sowing of rabi (winter) crops begins in October, instantly after the harvest of kharif (summer season) crops. Wheat and mustard are main rabi crops.

“The rise in MSP for Rabi Crops for Advertising Season 2023-24 is according to the Union Price range 2018-19 announcement of fixing the MSP at a stage of at lease 1.5 occasions of the All-India weighted common Value of Manufacturing, aiming at fairly honest remuneration for the farmers”, the federal government stated in an announcement.

“The Authorities’s precedence is on rising manufacturing of oilseeds and pulses and thus fulfilling the target of Atmanirbhar Bharat. The formulated methods are to extend manufacturing by way of space enlargement, productiveness by way of Excessive Yielding Varieties (HYVs), MSP help and procurement”, the official assertion added.
