Chhattisgarh: CBI raids places linked to 2 former IAS officers for ‘influencing’ NAN cases | India News

The CBI has carried out searches on premises allegedly linked to former joint secretary and former principal secretary and recovered some incriminating paperwork after an FIR was registered for allegedly influencing proceedings of Nagrik Apurti Nigam (NAN) and ED circumstances.

On April 16, after taking on the investigation from Chhattisgarh’s EOW, the CBI on Friday registered an FIR towards three individuals — Anil Tuteja, IAS (retd), then joint secretary, Dr Alok Shukla, IAS (retd), then principal secretary, and Satish Chandra Verma, then Advocate Normal, and carried out the searches.

In response to the FIR, the accused abused their official place to affect ongoing proceedings in NAN case registered in 2015 towards them at EOW/ACB, Raipur, and ED case registered in 2019 on the premise of the NAN case. The FIR pertains to stints of the three accused in the course of the earlier Congress authorities (2019-23) within the state.The ED had lodged an Enforcement Case Info Report (ECIR) underneath the PMLA primarily based on the FIR and chargesheet filed by the Chhattisgarh ACB/EOW within the alleged rip-off.
