Colorado state crews to start work on repairing Denver-area aging bridges

The Colorado Division of Transportation will begin work Monday on a collection of getting older bridges over railroad tracks. First up is the Buckley Highway Bridge over Interstate 76 in Adams County.

The bridge would be the first of three areas in metro Denver the place crews will make repairs. Different places are the Interstate 25 exit to Interstate 70; Interstate 225 over Smith Highway; and the north abutment beneath the Buckley Highway Bridge.

Development will contain changing the enlargement units and repairing the joints, deck and drainage. The undertaking is predicted to be accomplished by the top of December. Native Solar is the contractor.

When the Buckley Bridge work begins, site visitors will probably be shifted to at least one lane in every course on the bridge over I-70 from Monday by late September. Site visitors will first be shifted to the east aspect of the bridge after which to the west.

Closures on the westbound I-76 will probably be in place by mid-August for drainage work. Westbound I-76 shoulder closures beneath the bridge are anticipated to be in place from Monday by mid-August for that development.

Slight delays are anticipated. Journey lanes will probably be narrower and crews with heavy tools will probably be working within the space.
