At a time when Wipro has sacked 300 staff for moonlighting and most IT corporations have voiced their opposition to such practices by the employees members, Minister of State for IT, Rajeev Chandrasekhar has stated that firms mustn’t put a lid on staff’ desires. He, nevertheless, added that moonlighting shouldn’t be in violation of any contractual obligations.
“In the present day’s kids have each sense of confidence and function about desirous to monetise, create extra values out of his or her personal expertise. So, the efforts of firms that wish to pin their staff down and say that you shouldn’t work by yourself start-up or consulting are doomed to fail train,” he stated whereas addressing the ninth Annual Discussion board 2022 of the Public Affairs Discussion board of India on Friday.
