Two days after a 37-year-old realtor was murdered in Bengaluru, the police on Monday arrested his 19-year-old spouse and her mom for allegedly committing the crime.
Realtor Lokanath Singh was discovered murdered close to an under-construction constructing in BGS Format in northwest Bengaluru’s Soladevanahalli on the night of March 22.
On Monday, the police arrested Singh’s spouse Yashasvini and her mom Hema Bai, 37, for allegedly stabbing him to loss of life.
In response to the police, Yashasvini married Singh just a few months in the past towards her mother and father’ needs. She allegedly grew suspicious that Singh was having an affair and this led to frequent arguments between the couple, the police mentioned. Yashasvini later moved again to her mother and father’ home.
On March 22, Yashasvini contacted Singh and organized to satisfy him close to Bagalur, the police mentioned. They drove to Soladevanahalli, the place she allegedly laced his meals with sleeping drugs. Hema allegedly adopted them, as per the police.
When Singh started to lose consciousness, Yashasvini and Hema allegedly attacked him with a knife, fatally slashing the again of his neck. Singh succumbed to his accidents, the police mentioned.
Yashasvini and Hema have been remanded in judicial custody.
The police had initially suspected that Singh’s homicide was a fallout of enterprise enmity as he was dealing with a number of dishonest circumstances.
