Iranian Overseas Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian on Monday arrived in Islamabad on the invitation of his Pakistani counterpart Jalil Abbas Jilani, amid pressure in relations following the current tit-for-tat strikes launched by the 2 nations.

Upon his arrival on the Nur Khan airbase, the Iranian Overseas Minister was acquired by Pakistan’s Further Overseas Secretary for Afghanistan and West Asia Rahim Hayat Qureshi.

On January 16, Tehran launched missile assaults on militant bases in southwestern Pakistan. On January 18, Pakistan launched strikes inside Iran in a retaliatory assault.
