A pair from Karnataka’s Shivamogga has written to President Droupadi Murmu requesting mercy killing as they’ve been harassed by authorities officers who repeatedly demanded bribes.
The couple, Srikanth and Sujata Naik, has developed a personal residential format within the Kugve village close to Sagar taluk of the Shivamogga district, The Hindu reported. The publication quoted the couple as saying that authorities officers from the Panchayat improvement division have been demanding lakhs of rupees as a bribe to clear paperwork for his or her property.
Srikanth Naik has advised reporters {that a} Panchayat improvement officer had demanded ₹5 lakh bribe, and a Taluk Panchayat government officer demanded ₹10 lakh to clear websites of their format.

Disheartened by this, the couple submitted a petition to the President of the nation in addition to the assistant commissioner of the taluk on Wednesday.
