Delhi HC issues summons to Raut, Thackeray, Twitter, Google in defamation case | Latest News India

The Delhi excessive courtroom on Tuesday issued summons to Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) leaders Uddhav Thackeray, Sanjay Raut, Aditya Thackeray, Twitter, and Google in a civil defamation case.

Rahul Ramesh Shewale, the ground chief of Maharashtra chief minister Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena faction in Lok Sabha, has filed the case. He moved the courtroom over Raut’s declare of a ₹2000 crore deal for the allotment of the bow and arrow image to the faction following Shiv Sena’s break up.

Justice Prateek Jalan issued the summons and posted the matter for listening to on April 17. He directed Google, Twitter, Raut, and the Thackerays to file written statements inside 30 days.

Senior advocate Rajiv Nayar, who appeared for Shewale, requested the courtroom to cross an injunction to restrain Raut and others from making any additional defamatory allegations. The courtroom refused to cross any interim order saying that it will hear all of the events first.

“These are political fights…so far as the establishments are involved, Election Fee’s shoulders are broad sufficient to take care of all this.”

In a tweet, Raut on February 19 mentioned his declare was backed by proof which he would disclose quickly, saying a builder near the ruling dispensation shared this data with him.

He advised reporters the way by which the Election Fee of India recognised the Shinde faction as the true Shiv Sena was not justice however “enterprise”.
